This week, I finished The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker, which led me to write this post about the young adult genre. I also finished reading The Wizard of Oz to my 4-year-old, which is the first chapter book he’s sat through in its entirety. I had never read it before, so I was surprised to discover how funny it is. He has expressed interest in The Hobbit, so we may try that next. As for me, I am now reading Children of God, the sequel to The Sparrow, by Mary Doria Russell: science fiction, first contact with aliens, religious themes, all that good stuff.

And that’s it for Friday Reads!
